Well Visits
Our team of Board Certified Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners see children ages 0 to 18, or through the completion of college. Well-child appointments are essential for monitoring your child’s growth, development, and overall health. These visits provide an opportunity to assess your child’s physical and developmental milestones, address any concerns, and ensure they are on track for a healthy future. Our pediatric primary care practice follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines to provide comprehensive care during these visits. ​​The AAP recommends a schedule for well-child visits to ensure your child receives timely evaluations and preventive care throughout their early years. Here is the standard schedule for well-child appointments:
Newborn
The first visit typically occurs within the first week after birth to check for any immediate health concerns and provide guidance on feeding, sleep, and development.
2 Months
At this visit, your baby will receive the first set of vaccinations, and we’ll assess their developmental milestones and overall health.
6 Months
This visit includes vaccinations and a check-in on your baby’s developmental progress, including motor skills and social interactions.
12 Months
A key visit that includes vaccinations, developmental assessments, and guidance on transitioning to toddlerhood, including speech and motor skills.
18 Months
This visit focuses on assessing developmental milestones and addressing any concerns related to behavior or language development.
2.5 Years
Follow-up visit to monitor continued development and address any concerns that may arise as your child grows.

4 Years
This visit includes vaccinations, a comprehensive developmental assessment, and preparation for kindergarten.
2 Weeks
The second visit focuses on monitoring early growth, feeding patterns, and addressing any initial concerns about your baby’s health.
4 Months
Continued monitoring of growth and development, with additional vaccinations given according to the recommended immunization schedule.
9 Months
An assessment of developmental milestones such as crawling and standing. We’ll also discuss dietary changes as your baby begins solid foods.
15 Months
Continued monitoring of growth & development, with additional vaccinations as needed. We'll also discuss behavioral and social development.
2 Years
A comprehensive check-up including vaccinations, developmental assessments, & discussions about transitioning to early childhood education.
3 Years
A well-child visit that includes vaccinations, developmental screenings, and discussions about preschool readiness, behavior, and social skills.
5 Years & Beyond
Annual well-child visits are recommended to monitor growth, development, and overall health. These visits include vaccinations, physical exams, and discussions on various aspects of your child’s well-being as they grow.
