Newborn & Infant Care

Our Pediatricians partner with Scotland Memorial Hospital to welcome newborns after birth and follow their care to their first office visit and beyond! We are dedicated to supporting you and your baby through these precious early months. As the region’s only pediatric practice, we are here to provide comprehensive care, answer your questions, and ensure your baby’s well-being from their very first days.

Newborn Care

Our care for newborns begins with early and frequent visits to monitor your baby’s health and development. During these initial appointments, we will:

  • Conduct a Thorough Evaluation: Assess your baby’s growth, feeding, and overall health, including vital signs and physical examination.

  • Early Concerns: Discuss any concerns you might have about feeding, sleep patterns, or general well-being.Address

  • Provide Guidance: Offer advice on newborn care, including breastfeeding or formula feeding, sleep safety, and early developmental milestones.

Vaccinations & Preventative Care

Your baby will receive essential vaccinations during their early visits to protect against common and potentially serious diseases. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) immunization schedules to ensure timely and effective protection. Read more about vaccines, the recommended vaccination schedule, and FAQs.
