MacKenzie Cherry, RN

Originally from Middle Tennessee, Mackenzie relocated to North Carolina three years ago when her husband was stationed at Ft. Bragg. Her journey into healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2019, which laid the foundation for her passion for medicine and patient care. After gaining valuable experience in the medical field, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2022 and worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical settings while pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner.

In the fall of 2024, Mackenzie began her pediatric rotation at The Purcell Clinic—and loved every minute of it. The experience confirmed her passion for working with children and their families. She is thrilled to continue serving the community at The Purcell Clinic, where she combines her strong clinical foundation with a warm, patient-centered approach.

Mackenzie’s diverse experience as an RN guides her practice as a provider. She is committed to providing compassionate, thorough care, and building lasting relationships with patients and families. With a focus on wellness, prevention, and personalized care, she is honored to be part of a team that supports children’s health and development by helping every child reach their full potential with integrity and compassion.
